Actress Mercy Aigbe Denies Forgiving Her Husband Says They Are Still In Court – Details
Star actress Mercy Aigbe has denied moving back to her matrimonial home, despite claims that the love birds who have a son between them have reconciled.
The 38 year old mother of two children – whose bitter spat with her husband of seven years, Olanrewaju Gentry, following complaints of domestic abuse, is the subject of two court cases – told encomium.ng that the reconciliation report is untrue.
The actress who moved out of her Omole, Ikeja (Lagos) home she shared with the hotelier and auto merchant told us this afternoon: “The story is false. We are still in court.”
Reports that family members and friends successfully waded into the matter which saw Gentry spending one week in prison was spread at the weekend.
Gentry, 52, was said to have confirmed the reconciliation. But Mercy Aigbe denied any reconciliation this afternoon.
The couple crept into national attention shortly after Easter with tales of adultery, domestic violence and abandonment of parents. Both splashed their dirty secrets afield as the case was taken up by Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
Gentry was arraigned in two courts, with one sending him to Kirikiri Prisons as he perfected his bail. He was there for one week.
With Mercy Aigbe seeking treatment abroad and pledging support against domestic violence, the case assumed more rancorous dimension.
But reports of reconciliation sipped in, and have been denied twice by the filmmaker
