Security Official Burnt Dead As Thugs Set Ablaze LG Chairman’s Office in Abia
A security official has been burnt to death while two women sustained severe burns after the office of a council chairman in Abia State was razed down yesterday.
According to a shocking report by Abia Facts Newspaper, following a fallout of PDP chairmanship primary in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government, a security guard has been burnt to death while two women sustained severe burns after the office of the LG chairman at the council headquarters was razed down on Wednesday, November 9th.
The battle between Hon. Ginger Onwusibe and Chief Uzoma Ihuka took a violent turn after both camps mobilized thugs and other forms of militia to help them win the ticket.
The Isialangwa North Local Government headquarters council chairman’s office was razed by Hon. Ihuka’s thugs and militia because of the alleged imposition of Hon. Onwusibe by Senator T. A Orji and Abia State PDP. Onyemaechi Onyenro, a security man attached to the Local Government Area by name Onyenmaechi Onyenro was burnt to death. The deceased was married with three children. A married woman identified as Amarachi Orioho sustained burns on 85% of her body.
As at the moment, she is been moved to Specialist hospital in Enugu State after effort to help her at the Federal Medical Centre, FMC Umuahia did not show positive improvement.
Another woman identified as Florence Akwarandu was severely burnt. “The reason for the death and other serious burns is because the council chairman’s office has one entrance and also has a lot of staff, so when the office was set ablaze, their was struggle of who will come out first. In the mist of the struggle, the Security Man fell into the fire and others were badly burnt.”
