40-year-old Man Impregnates 12-year-old House-help
A 40-year-old man, Livinus Andoma, has been arraigned before Gudu Upper Area court for allegedly raping and impregnating a 12-year-old (names withheld) relation of his wife staying with them as house-help in Lokogoma area of Abuja.
According to a prosecution witness, in April 2015, the accused allegedly lured the girl into his bedroom, had undue carnal knowledge of her, and threatened to kill her, if she discloses the incidence to anyone.
Andoma allegedly continued to have carnal knowledge of the under-aged girl until she became pregnant.
In what appeared to be a mild drama, one Moses Anukia, who is said to be watching brief on the matter, told the court that the same matter had been filed at an FCT High court; therefore, the Upper area court cannot entertain the suit.
However, the presiding Judge of Gudu Upper Area court directed the prosecution team to find out the true position of things and report back to the court on the 14th of December 2016 while the accused be remanded in prison custody until the adjourned date
