$29.9bn Loan: Buhari’s Aides Incompetent, Says Senate

The Senate on Saturday decried their lack of details of President Muhammadu Buhari’s economic policies.

The senators decried the failure by the executive to provide the missing details of the 2017-2019 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper sent to it by Buhari almost a month after the request was made.

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Senator Sabi Abdullahi, in an interview with our correspondent, specifically said Buhari’s aides had showed that they were careless and incompetent.

This, it said, will continue to make the relationship between the National Assembly and the executive frosty.

Members of the Senate, who spoke to separately, stated that they had nothing against Buhari. They however questioned the competence of those working with the President.
