Son Of Late Ogoni Activist, Ken Saro-Wiwa, Ken Wiwa Dies @ 48

​Ken Wiwa, also known as Ken Saro-Wiwa, Jr, the first son of late Nigerian writer, and environmental activist, has died. The 48 year old was a prolific journalist, author and served as an aide to former president Obasanjo, former president Yar’Adua and former President Jonathan as his Senior Special Assistant on Civil Society and International Media.

When contacted, former President of the Movement for the Survival of Ogoni People, Mr. Ledum Mitee, said he was still shocked over the news of Saro-Wiwa Jr’s death.

“Somebody just called me to tell me that he is dead, but I am still in shock and have not been able to confirm it,” Mitee told our correspondent through the telephone.

Also, the Media Adviser to MOSOP, Mr. Bari-ara Kpalap, expressed shock over the news of Saro-Wiwa Jr’s death.. He was aged 48. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.
