How We Prophesied at the Beginning that Rangers Would Win the League – Fr. Mbaka Reveals

​The Catholic Priest in charge of Adoration Ministries, Enugu, Ejike Mbaka, on Wednesday presented N2 million and decoders to players and officials of Rangers FC for winning the Nigerian league.

Speaking on Wednesday as he presented N2 million and decoders to players and officials of the Rangers football club of Enugu, popular Catholic priest,Ejike Mbaka, said a prophecy came at the beginning of the season that Rangers FC would win the league.

Enugu-based football club, Rangers defeated El-Kanemi Warriors 4-0 on Sunday to claim the 2016 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title on home soil after a an endless 32-year wait.

The spiritual director of the Adoration Ministry (AMEN), Mbaka said that he was happy that God fulfilled his promise to the club after 32 years in the wilderness.

“Before the 2016/2017 season began, we dedicated the players and the league to God, and a prophecy came that the league trophy belongs to Rangers.

“Today, we are celebrating God’s work in action; we are no more praying to emerge the champion but celebrating the champions.

“For this achievement, I and the Adoration Ministries hereby give N2 million to Rangers FC and a decoder to each member of the club,” he said.

The general manager of the club, Paul Chbuzo, thanked God for a successful league season for the club, saying:

“Now, I know that whatever God destined to be must surely come to be.

“For 32 years, we have been fighting for this trophy and most times, we nearly get to it, but one thing or the other will deprive us of the cup. We will remain grateful to God for his favour and we also pray for more successes next season.

The Enugu state commissioner for youths and sports, Charles Ndukwe, thanked Mbaka and assured him that the club would always seek God’s presence in their endeavour.

He also tasked the ministry to pray for the successful outing of the club in next season’s Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions league.
