This 12-Year-old Girl Diagnosed with Life-Threatening Heart Defect Needs Urgent Help (Photos)

​A hapless family needs the financial assistance of well-meaning Nigerians as their daughter is traumatically down with a heart defect.

This is Victoria Oyindamola Oluwadare, a 12-year-old Nigerian girl based in Ibadan, Oyo State who is battling with a heart disease named Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) with severe pulmonary hypertension as diagnosed at the University College Hospital, UCH; Ibadan by Dr. Oluwatoyin Ogunkunle who is a Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist at the hospital.

Due to the severe nature of the ailment and problem of inadequate medical facilities in Nigeria as well as needed expertise, there is an urgent need to fly her to India for an immediate medical attention so save her life.

Consultations have been made with an hospital in the Asia country and the treatment is estimated to cost a whooping sum of $6,500 which her parents can’t afford due to their humble status as federal civil servants.

An appeal is hereby being made to Nigerians to assist in raising the funds for the urgent surgery as the poor girl continues to groan in pains and discomfort from her sickness.
