New Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr is to be paid the sum of N18.6m ($47, 000) per month by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). Rohr earlier in the month signed a two-year contract with the NFF to be the Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles.

We have learnt that the German who has agreed to stay in Nigeria will be paid the sum by an oil and gas firm which has agreed to sponsor the NFF. The former Burkina Faso coach was hired by the NFF after the unsuccessful attempt to appoint Frenchman, Paul Le Guen as the Technical adviser of Nigeria.

The NFF had plans to pay Le Guen the sum of N16.2m per month but the Frenchman rejected the chance to coach the Super Eagles. The last permanent Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh was paid N5 Million monthly before he resigned in February 2016. Before Oliseh, late Stephen Keshi was said to be on an N7m per month deal before he was sacked last year.
