Goodluck Jonathan And Buhari In Secret Meeting In Aso Rock

Former President Goodluck Jonathan visited the Presidential Villa where he held a closed door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday night, The Trent can exclusively report.
According to an authoritative source, Jonathan and Buhari had a private conversation in the presidential villa at about 9pm on June 2, 2016. The same day that the president backed out of his trip to Ogoni in Rivers state to flag off the clean up of the land devastated by years of oil exploration and spills.
The meeting was cordial and the matters discussed by the two leaders was not disclosed, even to aides of President Buhari.
The former president returned from Cote D’Ivoire on Wednesday evening after spending two months travelling around the word in connection with work for his foundation, The Goodluck Jonathan Foundation.
He immediately went to his hometown in Otuoke in Bayelsa State and left Bayelsa for Abuja on Thursday evening.
Jonathan’s return to Nigeria follows rumours of him being on self exile in Cote D’Ivoire. The former president had refuted the story of his exile to The Trent.
Close friends and associates of the former president were surprised to see him in Abuja on Friday morning as they were expecting him to come in later on Friday, a close source told our reporter.
