Pandemonium in Benue As Fulani Herdsmen Strike Again, Kill Scores

Emerging reports suggest that several persons have been killed and houses razed after suspected Fulani herdsmen invaded Tombo in Buruku local government area of Benue state.
According to a Benue-based journalist, the attack was really gruesome and many people were left injured.
The journalist solely called Roseline who is a native of Buruku said that her family house was completely razed in Tombo during the attack.
“Right now I am in Aliede but the attackers have set my family house in Tombo ablaze. In fact, we don’t know the whereabouts of some of our family members since yesterday afternoon,” she said.
The actions of Fulani herdsmen have been described as more devastating than Boko Haram following the continued killing of Nigerians in cities and villages
The journalist said the heavily armed gunmen invaded the community while some residents were having their lunch, shooting and matcheting anybody on sight.
“As we speak, my hometown, Tombo is a no-go-area. They came into our village on horses and were killing anybody on sight,” she said.
Police spokesman in the state, Moses Yamu affirmed the situation of things. He however, said only seven people had been killed in the incident, which occurred at about 3pm Thursday, March 17.
He added that the Commissioner of police, Paul Yakadi had led a team to the area.
