Obasanjo Tears PDP Membership Card in Public
Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has reportedly ripped apart his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) membership card.
Obasanjo is said to have torn the card just days after he accused President Goodluck Jonathan of plotting to frustrate the conduct of the upcoming general elections.
The former President also stated that Jonathan, who is of the PDP, was afraid that he would be jailed by All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Muhammadu Buhari if the latter were to win elections.
Obasanjo has also accused the President of squandering Nigeria’s oil savings and in his controversial autobiography described Jonathan as callous and selfish.
The former President also recently threw his weight behind Buhari’s Presidential ambition stating that he has every reason to support the APC candidate.
Obasanjo had earlier stated that he would always be a member of the PDP regardless of his criticisms of Jonathan and his administration.
