James Rodriguez Close on Completing Real Madrid Move

James Rodriguez will not play for AS Monaco again as he closes on a move to Real Madrid, according to a report from AS.com.
The Colombian, who finished as the top scorer at the 2014 World Cup with six goals in five games, is set to finalise his move to the Bernabeu next week for a reported fee of 80 million euros, which could be offset by the inclusion of a Madrid player, potentially goalkeeper Diego Lopez.
However, Monaco have begun their preseason training in Miami and take on Atlético Nacional on Wednesday, but Rodriguez has made it clear that he will not be participating in the game in case he picks up an injury that could halt his dream move. Reports in France suggest that it could be completed in the next 48 hours.
On Sunday, a picture by Twitter user Juanma Gomez (@jmagomez8) showed Rodriguez in what appears to be an airport, apparently boarding a flight to Madrid.
He said: “I have just seen James on the Madrid to Medellin plane, we are on the same flight”.
