Up to 50 Boko Haram Suspects Nabbed In Enugu

Between 20 and 50 suspected Boko Haram members were apprehended at Obollo Afor, Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State, on June 25, 2014, Wednesday.
A group of suspected terrorists were travelling in a commercial luxury bus of a popular private commercial company, when it was stopped by security operatives.
According to Punch, a team of the National Task Force on Small Arms was responsible for stopping the bus, plate number AKD816XG. The arrest of 20 suspects was confirmed by its reporter.
At the same time, reports by DailyTrust state that 50 suspected terrorists were in the bus.
Bags with army uniforms, some weapons and other items have been allegedly recovered by the security operatives.
However, the Police Commissioner of Enugu State, Mohammed Abubakar, did not comment on the development, said he was yet to be briefed on the incident.
Abubakar made this remark at the state police headquarters while parading four criminals, who were arrested for car snatching.
The group of suspects was transferred to Enugu police HQ, and they have not been released by the time of filing the present report.
The police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ebere Maraizu, said the men are being interrogated. The police intends to know the exact route of their travel and why they had had camouflaged uniforms in their possession.
