29-Year-Old Man Tried To Entice 9-Year Old Girl With N10
A 29-year old man, Goodwill Onyentorochi, was on Thursday arraigned before an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for attempted kidnap of a nine-year old girl.
ASP Godwin Eze, the police prosecutor told the court that the accused attempted to kidnap one Fatima Kugbelu by using N10 to entice the young girl.
The prosecutor said that the accused committed the offence on May 21 at Olomometa, Sea-beach in Osolu Kingdom, Ojo, Lagos State.
He said that a police patrol team arrested Onyentorochi as he tried to escape with the young girl.
Eze informed the court that the offence was contrary to Section 404 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Magistrate, Taslimi Shomade, granted the accused bail in the sum of N50, 000 with two sureties each in like sum, and adjourned the case to July 11 for mention.
