TRAGEDY: Road Accident Claims 10
Ten people, on Friday reportedly lost their lives in a road accident that occurred in Bangladesh’s western district of Rajbari.
Police officer, Nizam Khan, who made the announcement said the tragedy occurred when two inter-district buses collided head-on.
He said that eight people died at the scene when the buses crashed before dawn at Basantapur on the Dhaka-Khulna highway, adding that two others died in a local hospital, while 25 survivors were taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Basantapur is some 110 km west of the capital, Dhaka.
Khan said the police are currently investigating the crash.
