BREAKING NEWS: Suspect In May 20 Jos Bombing Arrested
Military have reportedly arrested a suspect in connection with May 20 Jos bombing, which killed according to various resources from 118 to more than 200 people.
The arrest was announced on Wednesday by the Director of Defence Information Chris Olukolade, Premium Times reports with reference to NAN. However the details regarding the identity of the bomber were not provided as at the time of filing this report.
It would be recalled that twin explosion rocked the overcrowded market of Plateau State capital on the fateful Tuesday. The area was immediately cordoned off. The number of casualties was so terrifying, that at the mortuaries of nearby hospitals some dead bodies were seen lying of the floor and piled up on top of each other.
Four days later, on May 24 marked for footballs fans from all over the world by the final game of UEFA Champions League, Jos viewing center became another target of suicide bombing, 3 people were said to have lost their lives. It was later learnt that the initial target was more than 400 football viewers.
