BREAKING : Kogi State speaker's two sons kidnapped

Gunmen, yesterday, invaded the house of the Speaker
of  Kogi State House of Assembly, Mr. Momoh Lawal Jimoh, at Okengwe, in Okene Local Government Area of the state and kidnapped two of his children.
The gunmen, who were said to have gained entrance through the fence, also looted the speaker’s house and carted away valuables including jewellery, television sets and a generator.
The speaker, who spoke with Vanguard on the phone confirmed the incident but said the kidnappers were yet to contact him with their demands.
According to a source from the speaker’s house, the gunmen numbering about 10 came in at 4 am, by scaling the fence before shooting into the air. They then hacked the door to gain entrance.
He said immediately they gained access into the house, the gunmen demanded the speaker’s sons; seven-year-old Ogirima Jimoh and three-year-old Afeez Jimoh, and abducting them.
He said: “Afterward, the gunmen took their time to ransack the house and carted away some valuables. On their way out, they demanded the speaker’s number which was given to them. They took the boys into the speaker’s wife car and left.”
The speaker’s children kidnapping saga is coming few month after the wife and daughter of Adavi Local Government council chairman, Salihu Adaviroko, were kidnapped in his residence.
