Brave seven-year-old twins and their one-year-old baby brother were kidnapped in their mum’s car by an unidentified man in San Antonio, Texas, USA.
But the story developed in an unexpected way for a criminal as two brothers kicked him and smashed with a toy, leaving him seeing double.
The boys’ mother, Lucia Lozada, got her children into the car outside their home as she was planning to drive to church.
But the woman returned back to the house for a moment because she had forgotten the baby’s bottle.
And when she went outside there were neither the car, nor the kids.
According to the police chief William McManus, the twins immediately began screaming and battering the carjacker until he let them out.
The unlucky kidnapper let the boys and the baby out on a street roughly 16km from their home, after a while they were reunited with the mum.
Speaking with the journalists, the mother said she didn’t want to buy the toy snake but the lads persuaded her and in a certain sense the purchase saved her children’s lives.
Praising her brave boys, the woman said, “I guess God knew that he was going to use it today. I thank God for them that they took charge.
Sometimes things in our lives have to happen for us to realise what we have and not to take things for granted.”
It was learnt the man who stole the car is thought to be in his mid-30s and boys’ mother had seen him in the neighbourhood a few times before.
