Kabiru Sokoto finally sentenced to life imprisonment
A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has sentenced Kabiru ‘Sokoto’
Usman, the alleged mastermind of Christmas Day bomb attack at St Theresa
Catholic Church in 2011 that killed 44 people and injured several
others, to life imprisonment.
The court also found Kabiru Sokoto guilty of planning to bomb the Police Headquarters in Sokoto State.
Sokoto was a member of the Shura council of Islamist sect Boko Haram according to his personal testimony during the trial.
